Cookies and browser storage
Who operates ShyFriends
ShyFriends is operated by Denari Group LLC. For support or privacy questions, email clientsupport@shyfriends.com.
Confirmed production services
The production application, database and member uploads are hosted on InMotion Hosting. Transactional email is configured through the ShyFriends mailbox hosted there. Cloudflare manages the domain’s DNS. Browser-visible service connections and storage will be checked during production testing before this policy is published.
Production review draft · Storage inventory still to be verified. This page explains storage uses found in the reviewed code. Actual cookie names, providers and expiry periods depend on the deployed configuration and need a live browser audit before publication.
How storage supports the service
| Use | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Sign-in session | Recognizes your signed-in session across requests. |
| Request security | Supports protection against forged form and API requests. |
| Preferences | Stores choices such as language, appearance and whether the native cookie notice was dismissed. |
Your browser controls
You can inspect and remove cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. Removing session information can sign you out. Blocking required storage may prevent sign-in or form submission. Clearing site data does not delete your ShyFriends account, profile or messages stored on the server.
Optional features and providers
The software supports integrations such as notifications, CAPTCHA and embedded media. Their actual use and storage must be checked against the enabled staging and production settings. This draft does not assert that these integrations are enabled or that the service is free of optional tracking.
Consent and preferences
This update adds policy links; it does not enable tracking, add a consent manager or change existing cookie behavior. A notice-dismissal button alone is not a control that blocks optional storage. Before public launch, inventory all storage, publish the purposes and expiry periods, and implement the consent and withdrawal controls required for the features and locations served.
