Who operates ShyFriends

ShyFriends is operated by Denari Group LLC. For support or privacy questions, email clientsupport@shyfriends.com.

Confirmed production services

The production application, database and member uploads are hosted on InMotion Hosting. Transactional email is configured through the ShyFriends mailbox hosted there. Cloudflare manages the domain’s DNS. Browser-visible service connections and storage will be checked during production testing before this policy is published.

Production review draft · Not yet published. This page describes the ShyFriends features reviewed for this staging release. The operator, contact and confirmed providers are identified above. Data retention, deletion behavior and remaining live-configuration disclosures still need verification before public launch. Use test information while testing.

Information used by ShyFriends

Account and profile information can include your name, username, email, date of birth, gender, dating location, photos and profile answers. The service also processes your introduction preferences, Comfort Profile, likes and dislikes, conversations, messages, blocking and reporting actions. Any additional verification requested depends on the site’s configuration.

Why this information is used

These features use information to manage accounts, check introduction eligibility, suggest profiles, create conversations after mutual interest, deliver messages and support safety controls. Comfort answers help rank introductions. Information you choose to send in a conversation is available to its recipients.

What other members can see

Profile details and photographs are displayed according to the service’s visibility rules and your settings. You can choose whether your reply pace appears on introduction cards. The reviewed introduction cards do not display the other Comfort Profile answers. Avoid putting contact details or other sensitive information in your public profile or messages unless you intend to share it.

Your controls

You can edit your profile, change introduction preferences and pause introductions. Account settings provide privacy controls; profile and conversation menus provide safety actions. Pausing introductions does not delete your account or messages already shared with other members.

Cookies and browser storage

The service uses browser storage and cookies for sign-in, request security and preferences. Read the cookie information for details and the limits of this staging inventory.

Details to complete before publication

Before publication, complete the inventory of any additional notification, media or other providers, where data is handled, applicable purposes and legal bases, retention and deletion periods (including backups), and the process for privacy requests or complaints. Sales, sharing, advertising and optional tracking disclosures must reflect an audit of the live configuration. These details have not been established by this source review.

For privacy questions, contact clientsupport@shyfriends.com. Do not rely on this draft as a completed public privacy disclosure.

Draft updated October 3, 2026.

Comfort controls and Soft Invites

We store your visibility choices, quiet-hours schedule and time zone to apply your preferences. Soft Invites store the activity, meeting place, suggested time and responses so you and your matched member can manage a plan. Do not enter home addresses or sensitive information. Invitations are available only to the participants while access remains permitted; authorized support may access records to investigate reports. Deleting an account removes its comfort-control and invitation records. Curated starters do not use an AI service or read private messages.

Photo approval updates and small hellos

If you request a photo approval email, we store your choice, the photo review record ID and the delivery-attempt status. You can turn this off on your welcome page. We use our configured email provider and respect quiet hours and email unsubscribe settings. Email acceptance does not guarantee inbox delivery.

Small hellos store the selected opening line, sender, recipient and response. The recipient can accept or decline. Acceptance creates mutual interest and places the chosen line in your conversation. We use curated prompts, not an AI service, and only use a reply pace the member has chosen to show. Authorized support may inspect records to handle reports. These records are removed when either associated account is deleted; existing chat messages remain subject to our chat retention policy.

City and connection preferences

We store your selected US city, distance preference, conversation languages and shared-language choice to filter introductions. Distances use public US Census representative place coordinates. This feature does not collect your street address or device GPS. Your existing profile location privacy setting controls whether introduction cards show the selected city and approximate city-point distance. Time-zone changes here update your Quiet Hours time zone. Location preference records are deleted when your account is deleted; backups follow the retention practices described in this policy.
